Quantum thermodynamics is a discipline which aims to explain the emergence of laws of thermodynamics within the framework of quantum mechanics and study the thermodynamic performance and energetics of devices, taking into consideration non-classical aspects of the physical systems such as coherence and entanglement. The mini-workshop on quantum thermodynamics will be held at Koç University between October 23-25. The mini-workshop aims to introduce fundamentals and applications of quantum thermodynamics to new graduate-level students and to identify new research problems for collaborative projects among the senior participants. The lectures will be given in room ENG B42 which can be accessed most easily by using the entrance in the engineering courtyard (see the photo), next to Avlu Cafe. The meeting room is downstairs.
